Benefits

 

  • Raises:  Annual cost of living.
  • Merit Bonus:    Base upon performance for previous year an additional 2.5% annually.
  • Paid Holidays:    River Valley staff receive 13 to 14 paid holidays each year.  Detention staff scheduled to work on a holiday, are compensated accordingly.
  • Sick Benefits:    All employees earn one sick day per month.  These are allowed to be carried over from year to year.
  • Vacation:    New employees earn 2 weeks of vacation after first year of service.  Based on years of service vacation time can increase up to 5 weeks.
  • Personal Time:    All employees earn 24 hours of personal time after first year of service.
  • Shift Differential:    Detention Staff receive $0.85 per hour more than base for working 2nd or 3rd shifts.
  • Lunch:    One hour paid lunch break.
  • Tuition Reimbursement:  $5,000 made available annually to Detention Staff for continuing education. 
  • Insurance:  All full time staff are provided health, dental and vision insurance.  Dependants can be added to coverage.
  • Retirement & Investment:    All full time employees become a member of I.M.R.F. (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) and can choose from a variety of investment funds to enroll in.
  • Direct Deposit:  All employees have the opportunity to participate in the direct deposit program.
